USA Computing Olympiad

USACO (USA Computing Olympiad) is a computer programming competition for high school students in the United States. It consists of a series of increasingly difficult online programming contests throughout the academic year, with participants progressing through four divisions: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.

The contests typically feature 3-4 algorithmic problems that must be solved within a time limit, usually 4-5 hours. Problems often involve data structures, algorithms, and computational thinking. Solutions are submitted in Java, C++, or Python.

Top performers may be invited to a summer training camp, and the very best students can qualify to represent the USA in the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI).
